Floral Flamboyance with Jimi Blake & Arthur Parkinson

Join Arthur Parkinson in the garden at Hunting Brook for a day of nostalgic in season garden grown flower arranging from bud vases to a hand held bouquets. Arthur will have picked his favourite flowers and foliage from Jimi’s garden to create a range of arrangements with. Followed by an afternoon talk and walk with Arthur and Jimi in the gardens looking at the their favourite plants, combinations and pot displays
Arthur Parkinson is a garden writer and photographer having written several books most notably The Flower Yard. He is known best for his flamboyant gardening in pots with both lavish colours and pollinators in mind. On his social media Arthur advocates for organic gardening principles and is passionate about reminding people that gardening is the forgotten savior of the planet. Arthur believes that all gardens large or small should provide harvests of flowers for the vase to connect the garden to the house.
Named one of the most influential young UK gardeners by Architectural Digest, Arthur Parkinson is a gardener, florist and author with a penchant for growing flamboyant blooms and raising chickens. After studying horticulture at the Royal Botanical Gardens of Kew, Arthur went to work for plants woman Sarah Raven at her farm in East Sussex to pursue his passion for growing cut flowers. He later became head gardener for the potter Emma Bridgewater, which inspired his first book, The Pottery Gardener. Arthur also co-presents the popular gardening podcast 'Grow, cook, eat, arrange' with Sarah Raven and regularly appears on BBC's 'Gardeners' World'.
